On 1080TI GPU, I removed Gigabyte fans (triple) and placed one 120mm 3000rpm Noctua Industrial, and one of same properies but 140mm (they are not running at 3000rpm). feels unnatural to be in complete silence. for specific reason I'm not, I actually like to have some fan noise around (only Industrial fan at 3000rpm is something I don't like, but it is never needed).even when I turn of PC, or sleep, I keep small fans (which have nothing with PC) to run all time, otherwise it is not pleasant to be in soundproof room. it definitely cut down temps.īut it is up to user preference, as number of people are concerned about noise. I always prefered custom fan curve (and even more than this, but later more about this) as noise is no concern for me. Sure if case airflow is not best, hot temps will accumulate inside leading to higher temps of other components. there is really much airflowīut as I did worked some things in last time with new Zen3 configuration, I removed doors from case and since than did not even bothered to place it back, it acts now almost like there is no case I'm using Cooler Master Cosmos II, with ton of Noctua Industrial fans + added number of optional fans.
